Rebates for Clay County
According to the January newsletter for members of Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc., Kilowatt , Clay county residents who make an energy efficient upgrade to their primary residency qualify for a rebate. Since 2007, a total of $831,209 rebates have been issued out. Those participating have lowered their combined energy usage by 17.5 million kilowatt hours. Rebates are available for attic insulation, high efficiency heat pumps, solar water heating, window film, radiant barriers, heat pump water heaters and heat recovery units. Members MUST submit an application within 60 days from the improvement completed. A Clay Electric representative will inspect the work for verification before the rebate is given.

To receive a rebate for window film, the film must have a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of less that .45 and be applied to windows that have a western, eastern or southern orientation. The windows cannot be shaded by porches, awnings, or foliage. The rebate is calculated at $0.44 per square foot of glass area.
Act today and be apart of the thousands who are lowering their energy bill.

This is a great idea. Lowering energy consumption and power costs is good for the planet, too. It's a win-win-win situation.
